In Brick Breaker you keep a ball in play with your paddle and break every brick to reach the next level. The ball speeds up each level, so the players who go furthest are the ones who control where it goes, not just the ones who catch it.
Aim with the paddle, not just your reflexes
Where the ball lands on the paddle sets its angle. The middle sends it nearly straight up; the edges send it out wide. Catch it off-center on purpose to steer it toward the bricks you want.
Break through to the top
Work on one column until you open a gap to the space above the bricks. A ball that gets up there bounces between the top wall and the back of the bricks, scoring hit after hit while you wait.
Deal with strong bricks early
Outlined bricks take two or three hits and fade with each one.
They’re worth 10 points for every hit, so they pay well, but a wall of them near the bottom keeps sending the ball back at you fast.
Chip at them while there’s plenty of room, rather than leaving them for last.
Get under the ball early
Move the paddle to where the ball will land as soon as it starts coming down, then make small adjustments. Late, big lunges are how balls are lost, especially on later levels.
Take your time before launching
The ball waits on the paddle until you tap. Slide the paddle to the side you want to attack first, then launch. You can pause at any time with the pause button, Space or P.
